Before you install

What the first launch asks of you

Each of these happens once. None of them changes how Cedreon works afterwards.

Account

A Cedreon account with a password

The app signs in with the email address and password you use on this site. Create the account in your browser first: the app has no sign-up screen of its own yet, and an account created with Google cannot sign in to it yet either.

Windows

SmartScreen warns once

The installer is not signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen reports an unknown publisher. Choose More info, then Run anyway. It asks on the first install and not again.

The Windows code-signing certificate is in progress. Until it is issued, the warning above is what an unsigned installer looks like, and that is the whole of what it means. The Mac app is signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens on a double-click like any other.

What you get on both

The same screening

One engine screens every message, whichever way you reach it. There is no lighter version of the rules.

The same vault

Values are replaced with placeholders before the message leaves, and restored for you when the answer comes back.

The same record

Every exchange is written to a hash-chained record you can read afterwards, showing what the model was and was not shown.
